When You feel Lonely
When a person you love passes away
Look to the night sky on a clear day.
The star that to you, appears to be bright,
Will be your loved one,
Looking upon you during the night.
The lights of heaven are what shows through
As your loved one watches all that you do.
When you feel lonely for the one that you love,
Look to the Heavens in the night sky above.

hmmm i used to write poetry many moons ago now but i must give this a try sometime soon xxx

i have managed to find my old file with some of my poetry that goes back as far as when i was 15 yrs old so i thought i might share some of them with you.

writing a poem
is a very special thing
when you think of the heartache
or joy it can bring.

you open your heart
and reach right inside
and your feelings flow out
like a wave on the tide.

it really wont matter
if it doesnt rhyme
as it means the same thing
when your captured in time.

so put pen to paper
and see how you go
and feel the waves crashing
as the words start to flow.

i wrote this one for my cousin and put it inside her wedding day card to give it a personal touch.

the best gift ever given
was sent down from above
it needs no bows or ribbons
as that special gift is love.

it doesnt happen easily
infact its very rare
it takes a lot of sacrifice
and very special care.

so keep your vows and cherrish them
let not your love subside
for no-one wants to hear about
a love that lived and died.

just make a simple promise
to love through out the years
and god will see you through your lives
with happiness , not tears.

i see you when i close my eyes
i hear you when i sleep
and i realise these are memories
of you il always keep.

your arms touch me when im crying
your lips when im alone
and i realise these are memories
of the love youve often shown.

you hold my hand when im walking
and you talk to me in the dark
and i realise now that your memory
will never leave my heart.

picture a scene full of grass that is new
put in some flowers and cover them with due
picture a fence that enfolds all of this
put in the children and blow them a kiss

picture the blue skies that glide up above
put in the sun with its rays full of love
picture the birds that swoon to the ground
put in their song and cherrish the sound.

picture the family gatherd about
put in some animals, some sml and some stout
picture our world with a smile on your face
and put in the memories of this beautiful place.
